We’re passionate about the legacy we leave behind and how our experiences shape it.
Meet Dezy
I’m so happy that you have found me. It’s an honor to have the opportunity of passing knowledge onto your village. Taking a leap of faith I pursued a path that I was born into and very passionate about. I’m following the footsteps of multiple Great Women in my family that were birth workers and herbalists within their villages. My practice is rooted in building community, healing, and making connections with nature.
I am located in central Ohio — but offer services across the state. It is important to acknowledge those before us; their contributions to community and culture. The name “Ohio” itself is derived from the Iroquois “ohi:yo'” – meaning the great river. Together, lets recognize the importance of giving thanks to the abundance of which is received from the land that we occupy.
I’m a certified maternal support practitioner (doula), lactation educator, sexual wellness educator, and master herbalist. I strongly believe that everyone deserves support and to be heard regardless of their choices. No matter if you choose to birth in a home setting, birthing center, or hospital I will be there to assist. I provide evidence-based resources to support your needs — Whether that be informational, emotional, or physical. I will also show you how all of this is connected to nature and how we can draw lessons from it.
I’m committed to being a constant contributing resource for evidence-based education, reproductive, and social justice within the BIPOC community and beyond. With your permission I will support you on this birth journey as we follow in the sacred footsteps that came before us.
